Jaycee Massie’s Senior Year of Softball

Mackenzie Wilder, Staff Writer

Jaycee Massie is a senior here at Canyon Ridge High School. She plays on the softball team and is extremely talented. Massie has played on the varsity softball team her whole high school career.  She plays center field and has hit a total of fourteen over the fence home run. The most stressful year of high school in her opinion was her junior year because that is when Covid started.

“Covid has ruined a lot of my senior year experiences such as football games, prom, homecoming, and parties.” What she is most looking forward to in the next couple of months is graduating. Her favorite part of high school was when Canyon Ridge won the service bowl and the spirit bell. She said that if given the option, she would stay in the grade she is in now because she wouldn’t want to do it over again.

Nevertheless, Massie plans to attend Boise State University in the upcoming fall. She had no idea what she wanted to do when she got older for the longest time but in ten years she says, “I see myself as a very successful person with a job that I love.”
