sometimes the sun is not always in the sky

the sun could actually be somebody you love

the sun makes your day brighter

the sun makes you feel safe

the sun makes you feel complete

but sometimes you can get annoyed at the sun

the sun can get too bright

the sun can cause sunburn

i shut the sun out because i am afraid

not of it but of myself

the sun does not mean to do this

i don’t mean to do this

but i truly love the sun

and we are just meant to be
