Should you get rid of Netflix for Disney+

As of November 13th, there were over 10 million users for the new Disney+ app that was released just one day earlier on the twelfth. Disney+ is very similar to Netflix, the difference being that Disney+ is strictly Disney movies and shows. This includes their franchises Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and National Geographic. Disney+ has shows that go all the way back to Steamboat Willie so you can bring back so many of your childhood memories all in one app.

Taylor Benoit (10) says that Disney+ is, “so much better than Netflix, [she] doesn’t even watch Netflix anymore.” On the other hand, Ian O’Neil (10) says that “It’s amazing, and [his] family goes back and forth between Netflix and Disney+ because we were in the middle of a series when Disney+ came out.”

Yzabella Eggers (10) says, “I love it. It’s the best app to ever exist. I love that Netflix has a large variety of movies, but Disney+ fulfills my dreams as a kid.”

Compared to Netflix’s price of $8 or $9 a month Disney+ is available for only $7 a month. That’s only $84 a year. For some people, that’s absolutely amazing. But is it worth it to pay for both? Consider this, you get all the Disney movies you could think about, while you can also get many different genres of shows and movies that aren’t just Disney, for about $14 or $15 a month. That’s about $180 or $168 a year. So if you’re someone who has a lot of time on your hands or just enjoys the pleasure of binge watching a good series, then the $14 or $15 dollars a month is definitely worth it.
